Alaska's new Governor

Congratulations to Sarah Palin, Alaska's newest Governor elect. Voters in this state put morals above experience and elected their first woman Governor at the same time. Both the Independent and Democratic candidates are pro-choice, pro-gay marriage, and pro-tax.
Now the ball is in Mrs. Palin's court. She is going to have to prove to 'old bulls' like me that voting for a woman wasn't a mistake. She has some big issues waiting for her to be sworn in. The gas line negotiations, the Pers and Ters debacle, and the FBI investigation of state legislators, to name a few.
You almost have to wonder why anyone would even want that job.
I'm very interested as to the makeup of her new administration. At least we'll get some of the cronieism out of the state's executive branch.
Alaskans will have to be patient with Mrs. Palin. I think it will take two years for her to really hit stride in that position.
